Damn broke. That's what an average student gets when he buys a new car and so independently wishes to pay for it on his own.

Blog Edit

Blah, I was fixing my links like a few hours back. Tried to add some but this whole copy-paste thing on this stupid computer wasn't working. Did a reboot and just figured I'd just do it later.

And so there are more links now. I added a link to Helen's blog, one to Klara's, one to Amy's, and one to Kev's.

This template editing is so done.

I just wish PowerWebMusic.com would hurry up working on that problem with their stuff. My favorite Beach Boys' song (Wouldn't It Be Nice) is so not playing. A blog without a song playing in the background is plain boring.

Blah.

Shopped Up

Look at these shoes. Aren't they amazing? This pair so caught my attention the first time I saw them. I promised I'd treat myself to such good-looking, sporty yet elegantly casual footwear. I almost dropped it after fitting because I didn't like wearing shoes that feel way too narrow. I just asked for a bigger size and it was so wow. Got them from a Fila stuff shop at Deira City Center for 185 AED. That's more or less like 3,000 bucks.

Oh, I almost forgot, the color of my shoes isn't what's in the photo. Mine's like a lot of silver, some black, a little white and gray, and the number 7 in a circle embroidered in black and white (or is it black and silver?). I like them loud!

Here's the product description from zappos.com:

A hot motor sport-inspired shoe, that’s a must have for any wardrobe.
Synthetic upper for long superior wear.
Lightly padded footbed for added comfort, and support.
Low profile cut EVA, rubber outsole assure durability and traction.
Elegant and stylish design, that’s great for any casual occasion.

Real Stuff - Real Update

Chatted with Helen on Yahoo! at around 5:30 in the afternoon. That was probably 9:30 in the evening where she was at. Wow, did I have a good time. It always is fun to have a talk with her. I mean, although it wasn't verbal, I totally enjoyed it. To date, it was our second YM chat since I created my mjloveshelen profile. I don't really know if she's okay with that profile because I've never heard her complain about it. So I think that's just fine.

It's cool to know that in some bizarre unnoticeable (yet disctinctly FRIENDLY) way, she cares for me. Or is it just me? I don't know. Besides, I can't really tell the difference between imagination and everything else. I'd just settle for what I think is not just mere imagination. Now you ask, why do I think she does care? Because she wants me to come back home and finish my studies, which I have not a single idea what's in it for me aside from the legendary "it's for your own future" quote from an always-familiar-to-almost-everyone father-and-son talk.

It's a real pity that I had to get off the conversation just to catch Lizzie McGuire. I mean, I loved that episode because Lizzie was actually going to high school and there was a lot of flashbacks from their middle high days. In addition to that, she and Gordo are getting more and more romantic within an episode's span, one after another. But that just wasn't enough. Online moments with Helen is just, just, uh, the bomb. (Sorry for the teeny punk phrase)

One highlight of our chat is that thing about this weird psychotic psychic guy. I'm not telling anyone about it because this issue's been causing her telecommunication (meaning, phone and internet) problems recently. But I'm making sure he's gonna be so busted when I come back. I am so gonna take him out.

I visited her blog just now because she said she was gonna update it. I see she's having a good life now with all that CWTS and NAMFREL and Manila Bulletin stuff she's in for. That "hunny" word she uses in her entries just never fails to give me that sting, though. She's so taken.

She's so taken.

I'm so not.

It's All About the Vagina

I'm sorry if I haven't been posting any real stuff on this blog just recently. It's just that this stuff I get from Friendster is totally hilarious and I think it's really worth posting it here. Yeah, and don't worry, this blog isn't gonna transform into some kind of a quote blog or something.

================================================
Disclaimer: If you are offended by the
word "VAGINA", please do not read any further.

Back in HS there used to be this game where you
would take a movie title, book, or TV show and
insert the word VAGINA anywhere into the title.
Lets see how creative and funny everyone can get
and pass it on.
-Adam

1) Teenage Mutant Ninja Vaginas
2) The Passion of The Vagina
3) Land Before Vagina
4) Sixteen Vaginas
5) The Green Vagina (The Green Mile)
6) The Little Vagina (The Little Mermaid)
7) Interview With the Vagina
8) The Virgin Vaginas
9) Vagina and the Beast
10) The Neverending Vagina
11) Vagina and Me (Mac and Me)

16) My Bestfriend's Vagina
17) Dead Vaginas Society
18) The Devil's Vagina (The Devil's Advocate)
19) Vagina in a Coma (Girlfriend in a Coma)

All of these entries are funny but it's hard to admit that 13, 17, 18, and 19 stand out from the rest. They made me laugh real hard. People here at home were already asking what's funny about checking out bulletin board posts. If they only knew. Ü Go Friendster!

A Quote of Note

This is one really funny quote about capitalist politics.

What is Capitalism?

A boy asked his father about capitalism. The father told him that capitalism is just like the way a family runs.

The father generates income, so he is capitalism. The mother, who budgets the money, is the government.

The maid is the working class, the boy is the society, and the baby is the future.

One night, the baby woke up with soiled diapers. The boy woke up and tried to wake his mother, but the door was locked.

He looked for his father, but he saw him having sex with the maid. Disappointed, he went back to sleep. Next morning, he told his father that he understood perfectly what capitalism is.

"While capitalism screws the working class, the government sleeps, the society is ignored, and the future is in deep shit."

Politics made simple.

Let's Go Shopping

I'm back. I'm so back. I've been so excited about bowling here, and there, and everywhere that I almost forgot I'm supposed to be keeping you guys posted through this blog. Silly old handsome me.

Well, I told you what bowling in Dubai really is about in that post right below this one already. So there's not too much of a point to write all about it again.

We went to LULU Hypermarket last night and this cute little bar-type (read: not clamshell) Samsung phone actually caught my attention. It's not everyday that an always-working-with-clamshells-manufacturer-produced phone does that, particularly to me because I hate that design in a phone. It would do in a PDA but definitely not in a phone. And so, I took a good look. Here's what the Samsung SGH-X600 has to offer.

Refined design with Bar-Type

Moreover, you can set the SGH-X600 to night mode which will automatically detect an object's brightness and set the best exposure level to create perfect pictures.
Try it and you'll be amazed.

Shoot freely, in any direction, anytime, and anywhere – The rotating camera is installed!

With the VGA rotating camera installed in every Samsung SGH-X600, it makes everywhere you go in your world, a convenient shooting environment. It will change your ideas of what mobile living is, forever.

65,536 Vivid Color Screen

One of the most amazing features of the new SGH-X600 is its astounding display. Take a close look at what with a 65,636 color UFB LCD looks like. Simply stated it is astonishingly clear and splendid to look at.
Your text is boldly displayed and playing games is now a lot more enjoyable when viewed on the splendid LCD.

I'm A Bowler

Okay, I said I was gonna post pictures and I still haven't even taken my digital camera out of my bag. I'm getting really lazy taking pictures. And I haven't installed the camera software onto my dad's computer yet. I'm so not myself these past few days.

I picked up mom and dad at the airport yesterday at around 2am. Finally, I got to have an internationally-licensed driver with me. I can't go on living here if my main form of transportation is a cab. That would be torture.

Last night, we went to DBC (Dubai Bowling Center) because my dad was to play as his friend's substitute in this almost-finished league and my mom played in this one-time ladies doubles thing. I practiced (as usual) together with the doubles thing people, so I was like the pacer. Finished with a respectable 671 after 3 games. Everyone had their eyes on me. The feeling was really weird and icky. They were asking me questions like, "How long have you been training back home?", and "How often do you practice?", and "Have you bowled a perfect game yet?" Weird and icky as I thought it was, it was cool nonetheless. I mean, it's been almost a year already since I played as consistently as last night. I wasn't used to hearing such things anymore. Whew, I'm getting really better at this sport.

I'm playing at the Deira City Center (Centre?) AGAIN tonight.

Forget shopping.

It's Nothing

I'll be posting pictures of me in the next few days.

Blah.

Untitled 2

I finally got here. There's just one thing that I really love in this place. It doesn't get as hot out here as back home.

See the picture. It's just totally amazing here.

Earlier...

I almost got into a fight with this ugly, stupid, I-don't-know-his-nationality guy who cheatingly fell in line, right in front of me. If I could wait for my turn without cheating, so could he. What, he's a VIP or something? I don't think so. My not-so-decent big brother looked way more presentable than he was. I was standing there for nearly an hour waiting for that passport control guy to call me and check my passport and visa and stuff. And he's just gonna cheat on me? (it's not what you think) That's just duh.

And just who gave you permission to drag your ass where it's not supposed to be? Get outta here!

Ack, that was more than enough to drive that asshole away.

As of the moment...

I haven't visited much of the city and done some serious shopping yet, but that's gonna have to wait until I get to finalize my to-shop and to-go list. Oh, and I still have to think about where in my arsenal I'm gonna place my two new bowling balls. I got a Columbia Throttle-R and a Storm El Niño 2002 and I haven't decided what layout I'm gonna use for these balls. Perhaps Throttle-R's gonna be a great ball to blaze up the lanes when the boards go dry. And as for 2002, I'm gonna place it under my Onslaught.

But I've got to get them drilled first.

Off to the proshop!
